Local Position

As the Director of Events Sales at Park Hyatt Suzhou, you will play a critical role in overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of the Marketing and Sales Division, particularly in the absence of the Director of Sales. You will serve as a key member of the Hotel Executive Committee, working closely with various departments to provide services, support, and ensure exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent the Sales & Marketing Division in executive committee meetings and ensure the department runs smoothly in the Director’s absence.
  • Attend and contribute to all relevant meetings, collaborating across departments to drive event sales and maintain seamless operations.
  • Maintain a courteous, professional atmosphere, ensuring that all associates consistently provide the highest standards of service to guests and colleagues.
  • Handle guest and associate inquiries in a polite and efficient manner, ensuring timely feedback and resolution of issues when necessary.
  • Uphold all statutory legislation related to employee relations, health & safety, fire, and hygiene policies, ensuring strict adherence to the hotel’s regulations and guidelines.
  • Foster a positive and safe work environment, actively engaging in the welfare, safety, and development of associates.
  • Ensure that your department's services meet the highest standards outlined in the Operations Manual, with a focus on efficiency, consistency, and professionalism.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with both guests and colleagues, promoting a collaborative and positive work culture.
  • Represent the Park Hyatt brand and hotel management team with professionalism and responsibility at all times.
  • Adapt to changing needs of the hotel, industry, and company, performing additional tasks and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience in events sales, marketing, or a related role within the luxury hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to handling guest and associate concerns.
  • In-depth knowledge of statutory legislation in employee relations and health & safety.
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of personal grooming and presentation.
