Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our secondary school team. The ideal candidate will inspire students through engaging instruction, foster a supportive classroom environment, and contribute to the school’s holistic educational approach.

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching & Learning

• Develop and deliver high-quality lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum.
• Employ diverse teaching strategies to engage all learners, including ESL students.
• Assess student progress through assignments, exams, and timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and individualized student needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom culture that respects cultural and gender diversity.

2. Classroom & School Community

• Supervise students during school activities, events, and extracurricular programs.
• Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school committees.
• Support school-wide initiatives, including character development and assemblies.
• Manage classroom resources and ensure a safe learning environment.

3. Homeroom Teacher Duties (if applicable)

• Mentor students in academic, social, and emotional growth.
• Monitor attendance, behavior, and adherence to school policies.
• Communicate regularly with parents, counselors, and staff regarding student progress.
• Facilitate character education and team-building activities.
• Maintain records and submit reports on student development.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Teaching certification/license (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
• Experience teaching English at the secondary level, preferably in an international setting.
• Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and ESL strategies.
• Commitment to fostering a nurturing, multicultural learning environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
